Create a googledocs, work document and insert the link at the top of your page. It is here where you will make the following edits (copy and paste the format of the "lab write-up template" below into the word document):
NOTE:Remember that you are writing this in such a way that an honors or AP physics B physics student should be able to understand, follow, and REpeat the experiment based on your procedure
first half of abstract written.
the Beginning of "Background" section (e.g. what your experiment is about, why you were interested in this experiment, background details, etc.).
The list of materials (w/ model names/numbers, brands, part numbers, etc.).
sketch of the intended experimental apparatus labeled with parts of materials (can hand-draw, take a picture, and upload or use the "shapes" in Microsoft Word which would be preferable).
Intended procedure (detailed in a way that SOMEONE ELSE could follow and recreate your experiement with YOUR materials...so you should reference your materials).
A running list of resources you have used when looking up details about your experiment and researched (it does not yet need to be in APA format).
SOME GENERAL NOTES/INFORMATION
Make sure to keep track of websites that you go to to find information (e.g. copy and paste links at the bottom of your given pages in the sections I created at the bottom ("resources")
You will eventually be citing them using APA format. You can find clearly presented details on APA format in the "Physics Laboratory Guidelines" document onpage 7
The following document will be the file that each group will fill in for this project. The headings are include: background information, materials, procedure, results, data analysis, and error analysis. The first file is the skeleton of your lab write-up. The second file gives you background as to what each section should entail.
